A travel(b)logue chronicling the journey of Claire O'Conor and Colin Symes to round the world without ever once leaving the Earth's surface. The intercontinental parts of the journey are undertaken by ship, the intracontinental parts by train. Travelling east, the journey started from Sydney, Australia, on 5th July 2010 and will end in Sydney on Christmas Day 2010.

Swanston Dock
Swanston Dock in Melbourne, 11.45am, 8th July
The scene is like something out of Bladerunner, mobile cranes looking vaguely robotic, running container errands between the wharf and the ships, at an inexorable pace. One would like to take a photograph or, better still a video, except picture taking is verboten and the security is such that one is likely to be observed.
